That looks beautiful.

You can buy a circular polarizer...but a much better option is to make a top down viewing box.

Search in google: "top down camera box". I made one: Found a large plastic mug. Cut off bottom. Bought acrylic sheet. Glued on. Thats how I get these sort of photos:

retailers sell the top down viewing panel for $20 or so. I just bought one on unique aquatics. well worth it for top down viewing which is the best way to look at colors (imo)

I have a Curve9, and glad to hear that others are enjoying this series.. The curve9 is doing a great job on my 150..

Your tank is awesome... Is that a S. Gigantea on the bottom right, or a big mushroom?

My lighting on my old tank was 6 bulb t5 front to back ATI Blue Plus,ATI Purple, ATI Blue Plus,ATI Aquablue Special, ATI Aquablue Special, ATI Blue Plus

So I made a decision the other day that I really didn't like how the MH ligths were looking so yesterday I switched back to t5s, I really like the way the t5s make my corals pop with color. I will take a FTS tomorrow. Oh and I am going to make one of those top down boxes for my camera so I will try and get some nice pictures this week.

Yes, I am going to use the same fixture as I did on the 75, only thing is I switched the coral plus with another blue plus ( just thought it looked a little purple when they were all on)

Xtlosx in the bottom right corner is a really large toadstool ( you can see him in the 75 he was beautiful he was also in the right side corner in there, I need to secure him better he keeps moving with the flow haha Can't wait for his polyps to come out again just like in the 75)

Here is a picture with the T5 lights let me know what you guys think is nicer....

MH or T5s?

MH looks nicer to me. I can see more of the various colors a bit better under MH in your pics. JMO.

I love the shimmer of MH, but prefer the colours of SPS under T5's. Your choice should be which looks good to you? With SPS, its the colours that is most important to me. So if you feel you have better colours under T5's for example go with that.

I think if you dont have issues with heat go with MH's. The look you can get and color rendition seems greater with them. T5's are also nice, so its completely up to you.

I love the shimmer that the MH created, I guess I just wanted more of a blueish look. I wish I ordered the 20k MH bulbs in the first place maybe when the 14ks run out. Thanks everyone!!

The most blue 150w DE halide bulb I've used is the Phoenix 14K. Its more blue than even the 20K Radium. The Phoenix 14K has a strong 420nm Actinic peak so pops colours like an actinic. You can supplement it with an ATI Purple + and Blue+ and it will look sweet.

Your tank under halides looks much more vibrant and alive to me. T5 are too stale for my taste. Either way your tank looks amazing!
