Pictures of my tank in progress! Moved around the aquascaping a bit, and have a couple of frags now. The big thing I have added is my new green open brain (Thanks Michael!). It is doing very well and had a nice meal tonight as it has been extending it's feeder tenticals beautifully. I do not have plans to add any more frags for a long time, I want to make sure these all do great before putting in anything more. Thanks everyone for the support and advice :)

Named them Rome (Bigger) and Maximus (Smaller), Rome persecutes Maximus.

Natalie,
It is gorgeous!! How did you get the rock on the back of the aquarium...what did you use?

wow, I like your rockscape..its very cool. I am shocked at the color difference in those clowns. interested in what you are feeding them?

SuperTech: Thanks, the rocks came from Rhett, and they are just beautiful! Everything I have purchased from him has been fantastic and problem free for me! I'm feeding the picassos a bit cyclop-eeze twice a day, I think it may have something to do with the lights as well, but I couldn't be sure. I guess a happy clown is a colorful clown! I also put a bit of marine cuisine in there once a day but they definitely favor the cyclop-eeze!

Rhett, all of those frags are doing fantastic, especially the blastos. I have never seen coral 'poo' before, that is until your blastos enlightened me lol.

Thanks Bill! The clowns now match the color of the zoas I got from you ;) I hope your tank is doing great with the new aquascaping you did a few weeks back! And now you've got the new equiptment you've been wanting, I am jealous

Lori, I superglued that rock on the back, using LocTite superglue from Home Depot. I was lucky because the rock has a flat back to it so I was able to easily glue it. I was going to do the magnetic frag plugs that are in a thread on the main MTRC page if the glue didn't work, but it is holding great. FYI I had the fish first and then got a few frags. I would recommend that 4 or 5 days after you have had your tank stable at Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, and Nitrate less than 5ppm (which you might have to do water changes to get this), then add 1 small fish and a few snails (I think you were thinking a clown goby? I would get 2 astrina snails and 2 ceriths snails). The yellow clown gobies in Franklin are .5 inch or less even and would be a great fish for your tank, they don't swim a whole lot, they like to perch and explore. If you want to have a pair of clown gobies you need to get them at the same time, and I wouldn't add anymore fish than those 2. I would then wait at least 3 weeks to a month after you add your first fish to add any coral, and I would start with zoas or softies like a leather or mushrooms. Stability is key! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the support and comments!
I will keep you all updated on how things are going.

Ammonia:0
Nitrites:0
Nitrates: slightly detectable, less than 5ppm

Lori if you read this I have a yellow clown goby that I would like to kill when I get my hands on him for eating the polyps on my SPS. He will be coming out soon and going in the sump. If youd like him I'll be more than happy to sale him to you. They are cutelil things but they arent as cute as my SPS, lol. Well not to me anyway.

aww man, that sucks Rhett! If you need help getting him out, just let me know. You should have bought Bill's, that one doesn't eat his SPS :(

Natalie Ive seen him pick at them atleast 8-10 times. Drives me crazy and some of my corals wont even stick their polyps out he's like a lil sniper in waiting. If I get my hand on him sometimes lets just say it wouldnt be good for him. I will probably need help. Thats bad someone needs help to catch a half inch fish. LOL I'll give you a call in a day or two.

Thanks for the offer Rhett, but I am not ready yet and hope to have uneaten corals myself. Maybe Natalie wants your little coral poacher? My plans for this tank are mostly corals and maybe no fish.
