So do you hook up an airpump to that smaller pipe? Or is that the feed line?
Looks great, you have no excuse not to get saltwater in there now huh?
Unless of course they don't pack it well and UPS plays soccer with the box.

The smaller pipe is for the feed pump. Ill put something like a maxijet 1200 to feed the skimmer. See, now you got me all worried on the shipping!

LOL That's why Captive Oceans started shipping fedex freight, it goes onto a pallet and they even strapped a small odd shaped box to the top so another box could not be stacked on top!
Cool idea, I guess UPS and Fedex ground we're all damaging the skimmers and you know how well build they are it's hard to imagine.

Here's hoping they pack her extra well for you, the + side is if it gets cracked you get a helluva deal on it and just seal it up.

Alright! Skimmer has been shipped via DHL (not familiar with this company). I also got 4 X 24W T5s for my dusk till dawn, a couple of Phosban reactors, moonlights, lumenarc minis and some misc items on order too. The rest of the equipment will be taken from my existing 90. That should be it to get the tank up and running! Once the 90 is down, Ill start building some stands for my WC and topoff stations. Its getting really close now.

Cool Russ, DHL is o.k. but they have an odd delivery schedule out here in the sticks though. Seems like they told me they only do tues, thurs deliveries to us loners out here in "rural" colorado.

Well that sucks. I dont like DHL already. They dont even tell me what the ETA is on thier website. Well I was hoping I would get it by this weekend but who knows now. I guess Ill have to delay on filling up the tank. Was going to do it this weekend.

Lol! Actually, as long as I can get in one piece, I dont care if they take their sweet time. As long as its not too long.

I would fill it up anyway, you don't have any livestock to kill off, in there yet. A few days without the skimmer is not going to hurt.

Yah but when Tim did his, he said it stunk bad even though it was dry base rock. I kinda want to minimize the stench or my wife will kill me lol!

I don't think Tim rinced his Marco rocks before adding them and they gunked up the tank. If you rince them real good they should be ready, but what does a few days hurt when it has been this long right? I think I would wait on the skimmer.

I put the rock in a clean rubermaid trash can and put the water in with a skimmer for about 6 weeks. Maybe it would have not been so bad had I rinced them first. I'm glad I had the skimmer in the trash can though cuz it pulled out a butt load of crud for the first week.
