My 156 g in wall

Looks great! Can't believe how fast you got everything put together. I love the dimensions on the 156 (you don't see to many). Maybe someday... :)

Im seriously thinking about stealing your porthole idea hahaha. we were going to make a window in the side of our house leading to the tank (its an inwall in an old closet) but because of the distance between the tank and the wall, it didnt seem like it would work but this might. Ill have to talk to my dad about it...

1 month old.
Diatoms all over the dead rock and sand .

Added a carbon a gfo reactor today

24 hours since the gfo reactor is running. phosphate reading 0 , it had been .03
There are no air bubbles on the sand with the brown now like there was the last few days. Still some air bubbles on the rock , but not as many as yesterday.
Will see what Monday brings.

You said the ati powermodule shipped from reefgeek came all beat up and scratched? I just resently ordered a 6x54w and hope it dosent come all beat up. Thats big money to be beat up, when delivered. Looks killer above your tank.

Yours will shape nicely packaged. They do not have a box for the 5' fixture, thats why mine got beat up. For anything smaller they have nice box with nice foam cushion. I am sure you will be very happy with it.

Since adding the phos reactor 4 days ago here is how things look now. The bubbles are 99.99% gone. The brown is 80% gone, just some left on the sand. The rock brown went from brown with bubbles to fine hair algae that the lawnmower blennie loves, so it is going fast.

tank is looking great
Love the porthole idea :)
Can't wait to see the ricordea rock when its added, as well as the tank in a year once their is growth on all the corals by a HUGE amount.

One question for you though; how are the corals liking the T5 lighting? I have T5 over my 20 gallon long (tank just setup 2 months ago in bedroom) but have been to scared to try any corals in it yet :)

Happy reefing

Zack

Thanks
Thanks
So far the corals seem to love the T5 lighting, but time and growth will be the true test. The corals all open up nice and so far every one is very healthy. The ricordea rock is in the tank.
I am looking forward to a years growth with caps filling things out and the rics spreading.
