My 180 first large reef tank. High end sps setup!

I know. My buddy has one and he said most people don't even know what it is. They literally think it's a modded altima or maxima.

I like the stand, especially the slatted ends. Did I miss the dimensions? I was wondering how tall the stand is. I find most 30-36" ones too low for me (of course I am 6 foot myself). I suppose it would be perfect height for viewing if seated on a sofa. Can't wait to see what you put inside this beauty.

Update! Plumbing is finished thank god what a royal pain in the *** it was because I'm such a perfectionist the goal was simple and functional... Gate valves for flow control on main drains all manifold outlets and one for both returns just in case... I like flex in spots as well as long as the runs are straight and short makes working on things super easy... Please critique one full siphon and one emergency overflow per box... Herbie style main drains flow into socks with gatevalves for independent flow adjustment and emergency so just dump into the sump anywhere it was easy and clean with minimal piping with no restriction

Wait till you guys see what I'm working up for radion mounting I will also be making these available for sale as well.... Firing up the welder and water jet shortly :eagerness:

Anyone have a 1-1/2 " drill it to install a overflow in my 40 breeder transfer tank this needs to happen ASAP so I can remove the 93 also looking for a used sump and possibly retun pump for the 40 if not I'm gonna grab a eshopps 100 unless any of you guys wanna show me how to make one out of a 29 or 20 high I have laying here

its only about 33" tall since im limited on ceiling height and need room to hand the lights... i would have liked it taller but it is what it is :(

I only just skimmed the thread but why did you drill two additional holes in the back panel for returns??? Why not just use the predrilled holes in the overflows that are made for returns??? Seems you just added more complexity and more room for a failure doing that, plus now you need room behind the tank to access that plumbing (you can't push it flush against a wall).

its a herbie overflow in a reef ready tank..... you need a full siphon drain and an emergency in each filter box..... the tank sits on an angle in a corner as well so i can work on it from behind...

Hmm... Weird.

I'm running a herbie in my 210gal that has two overflows. In one overflow I have a full syphon and a return and in the other overflow I have an emergency and a return.

Maybe your running a really big return pump where the standard full syphon drain can't keep up???

nice job on tank and plumbing, only thing concerns me is back siphon on your returns or am i missing something cant wait too see it set up good job!!

there is a checkvalve and plenty of room in the sump for overflow if the checkvalve fails hoping to get it all filled up this weekend the stand is upstairs and im mounting a lot of electrical things and radion modules to it currently

Haha Glenn you suck at updating your threads. At least I can drive down the road and see it. Weird I came across your build on Google while looking up what equipment I should buy for my tank
