My wife, she think I am over kill my tank what do you guys think. As I am already stated I have lot of fishes in there and they have been with me for over 1.5 year. Thank you in advance.

I can't help with agree with her on couple things. You have a lot of fish for 180gals tank. I thought i have a lot of fish (10 all together). 1 HP chiller gonna destroy your electric bill. 4 x 250w MH is good but PC utilized lots of electricity as well. I would go with VHO if you decided to use the PC for color suppliment. I assume you have a DSB cuz 150lbs it is alot. Too many powerhead in the tank isn't a good idea.

I will post picture later, my electric bill is about 400-500 a month, but currently the chiller is off.

I will be changing it to T-5, but I got a good deal on the hamilton MH/PC set up from skinnychinaman.

Its gonna kill you maintaining all that equipment. I'd hate to see the plumbing and electrical on this puppy, but Im very curious. PICS!!

Simplify the setup as much as possible. If you need to have lots of fish, then you need to increase your water volume, not filtration. A 220 gallon system will absorb only so much fish poop.

The wife is telling you something also.
A) You are spending too much $$$ on the tank and not enough $$$ on her.
B) You are spending too much time with the tank and not with her. :D

All our wifes say this... just gotta balance it a bit.

I agree with previous posts. Your current $400-500/month electric bill will go crazy once summer hits, the chiller comes on, and those MH lights are used. You could get rid of most of your mechanical heat in the system by reducing the number of pumps.
