Hi there. I am refinishing my acrylic tank and read through this thread about your project. I have a couple of questions. From your pictures, it looks like for the polishing/buffing steps that you used an auto car polisher. Did the pads that came with the acrylic repair kit fit that car buffer - or did you use pads that came with the car buffer? I am stalled out on my project, trying to figure out how to do the polishing/buffing stage. I can't use a right angle polisher like the instructions suggest, because i don't have one, and i don't have room to work two handed in the tank anyway. so can't decide whether or not to go the cordless drill route - or try to make a car buffer work. most of the car buffers i have seen appear to use bonnets and not hook and loop. so that is what made me wonder how you were able to do the polish/buff stages with a car buffer. any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
