My 1st clam death.......

I have had a Squamosa in my tank for 2 years. It has doubled in size. I have had several crocea clams in my tank for the last 3 months. One of my croceas got what looked to be pinched mantle which I noticed 2 days ago. According to my research, it is pinched mantle, so I did a 30minute FWD. After the dip, I returned the clam to the tank and after a few hours, snails, hermits and bristle worms were all over it. None of the other several clams seem to be infected, and are showing no signs of stress. All my water params are in check. Should I be worried for the other clams in the tank? Or is this just a fluke or a one time thing....??? Any advice would be great. Thanks

hard to say for sure. the clam in that pic definitely had PM and he could have very well given it to the other clams. he also looks very far into it, so the FWD may have just put him over the edge.

are you running and PO4 remover? carbon??

please list everything you dose?

and post a current picture of your remaining clams

I am guessing you stressed the hell out of it. FW dipps are very hard to do and most of the time even doing them right will kill the clam.
