My 1st Frag

I just purchased my first Zoa Frag... it's very small and has alot to develop yet. It's a small rock with about 12 little polyps on it.

I placed it on my sand bed... and it's getting enough light (9 hours a day) and my calc is at about 420.

Is there anything else I can be doing to help this little guy blossom?

Congrats. Just give 'em time and they will reproduce like mad.

Try to get them off the sand bed. Mid level in the tank works much better.

Moderate lighting and good flow.

What is moderate lighting? Is 9 Hours too much?

Also... I purchased these.. and they are all brown in color... with several groupings of colored dots in the center. One group is pink... another yellow...another orange.

They are tiny zoas... will the develop into full colors with time?
