That's a black striped damsel and a blue damsel 6 ocean green leg hermit crabs that's what we used to cycle the tank... This weekend the crabs will be gone and time to get the cool stuff...

Do damsels eat other fish or coral what's so bad about them I was gonna leave with in the tank with my anenome and pair clownfish I want

Do u all think I need more live rock in the tank the rock I gave I was sold with the tank as 45 lbs but I don't think that's 45 lbs since I'm learning more and more

Most damsels are known to be territorial and quite aggressive although some like yellow tail damsel and other demoiselle type damsels are not too bad. Your damsels (the striped one and the blue devil) may present a problem in future when you try to introduce a new fish into your tank.

It looks like your tank can use a bit more rocks especially if you are going to add more livestock to your tank. As long as your bio load does not exceed the filtering capacity of your live rocks, you are going to be okay, provided that you don't overfeed your fish and export the excess nutrients in the water efficiently with skimmer, water changes, and/or macroalgae.

Make sure you get those hermits out before you try to add any corals.

Its nice to see new tanks. Reminds me of mine 3 years ago.
I started out with two damsels as well to cycle the tank. I had to take them out, just to aggressive. You can usually take them back to the fish store and they will credit you for them. They are great when you have aggressive fish if you want more flash, but clowns aren't aggressive enough and will be torn to pieces. I did enjoy my wrasse and damsels chasing each other around all day

My last damsel met a dismal end out side my tank.I had, had it from the start and then with 150lbs of rocks,corals ect in a 125 it decided to go mad on me.After taking most of the tank apart to catch the little@@##%$ it did not make it to another tank.I would get them out before you get to far in your tank.Put him in the sump.Thats what I do with them.

Well wifey started me on it that's why she can't get mad as I go deeper and deeper I was just showing her the pretty fish and the stingray at seascapes so she told the man she want one so heck I want one too lol even tho I really don't kno what size the tank really is to be honest I thought it was 30g but its bigger then my python tank and I kno that's 29 gal

But this is the prototype wifey wants the lionfish and I want coral so once I'm up and good I'm going for a 55 gal make an agressive setup probally too many tanks in our 1350 sq ft condo huh
