i love em....there are 2 next to each other....just finished acclimating and added them about 5 minutes ago.

i'll post more pics once they're a little more adjusted.

Very nice John. Did you buy them local, or did you have them shipped? I don't have any room for anymore anemones. I was just curious.
Please send me a pm if you are not comfortable saying in public.
I hope they didn't cost you an arm and a leg.

i did get them local.
actually i got a really great deal...or at least i think i did. But i'd rather not post how much i spent.

Phil, i still have the purple LTA, maybe cuz of the lights, but seemed to get a lot lighter(color wise). still very big and fat though.

got a couple more pics....shows the white parts of the body.
my clown is already jumping anemones...goin back and forth from my PLTA and the flame rose

Hi John,
The anemone you got from me has long tentacles but officially it is a H. crispa or sebae, not a LTA (M. doreensis). I'm glad it is doing well. Your lights are different than mine and your water chemistry is probably better. :) Anemones make adjustments depending on conditions. I hope it still looks nice for you.

I didn't need to know how much you paid, I was just hoping that you got them for Rose anemone prices and not "Designer" anemone prices. :D

They look very similar to the ones that Atlantis Aquarium is selling, at least they do to me. Nice score. They appear to be very happy.

Oh, oops, yup the sebae. thanks for reminding me. BTW, is that blue bubble in ur gallery photoshoped?

can you post pic's of the purple h. crispa? i'd like to see what you are referring to when you say that it got lighter. what kind of light are they under?

i've a question for phil, jordan or any others with purple tentacled sebaes;
do purple tentacled (not referring to the magenta/purple tips), h. crispas require strong 250-400watt halides to retain the purple coloration of their tentacles? would and do they over time lose the purple (not referring to the purple tips), when kept under closer to daylight spectrum t'5's vs. 250+ watt 20k halides?

marc, i'll get a picture up when i get home later tonight.

as for the anemones...i looked at the rock they were on this morning and both had moved.

i can see one moved farther back in the tank and the other one i dont see.

looks very healthy but probably didnt like the spot too much.

John,
The blue BTA is photoshopped, I was playing around in a different thread. I should probably take it down.

Here is a pic of the sebae before I sold it to John. I had it under PCs and then under 150 MH. I used Phoenix 14Ks for a while and XM 10Ks for a while. I didn't notice much difference. I'm pretty sure John's lighting is more intense.

Here is another of it when it was recovering from getting beaten up by a over attentive chrysopterus

man, looks better in ur tank....how often did you feed it and what?
now the tips are still very purple but the body is more whitish almost looking bleached eats flakes when i feed.

I'm not sure flakes are enough. I used to feed it silversides or shrimp once or twice a week. Its a good idea to feed your new BTAs something more than flakes as well.

I have the same RBTA, and i love it! As for the name i was told that Atlantis gave it the name "Son of Ra", and i think that its a really fitting name... Its really nice that you got 2 of them! im sure they look great in your tank. Kepp us posted on where the other one pops up and where it decided to settle down. I know that mine is about 12" bellow the top of the tank and in the shade of my t5's
