Hey I got my 20g cycled. Now I have gotten all of my cleaning crew in there, over about 2 weeks of adding. I notice the tank is very cloudy. There is not much to stiff up so its not the actions of the crew. Also My prizm skimmer never has really pulled much out. Now it really is not at all. Could the clouding be a bio reaction to all of the new invertibrates? I have about 3 turbos, 10 nars, 10 cerinth's, 15 blue leg, 1 emerald for the most part. It seems a little over kill :) but i figure i can feed them if there isnt anything to eat.

No. Its something else. Do you have much flow in the tank? Your sandbed could be getting stired up.

Are you using any additives? What are your alk/Ca/Mg levels? It could be a 'snowstorm'; Calcium precipitating out of the water column. It could be bacterial, or it could be a sandstorm.

I would guess on the sandstorm he probably isnt adding at this stage in the game. Your skimmer wont pull anything out until there is stuff to pull out.

My sand bed is between 1" and 2.5". I havent tested much in the last few days. A few days ago cal=450, alk was 15 kpm, or what ever that measure is :). Mg I have not tested. I do know I have had a hard time getting the Ph to stay above 80. But like i siad the tank has only been cycled about 2 weeks. But the water did used to be crystal clear. I had a very smal diatom breakout at the end of cycle but that is gone.

Sand storm wise... I did have to rearrange some rock the other day. But that was typically lasted only a few hours or day at the most in the past. Maybe it is taking a few days this time. I do have a floss filter that got filled to the point of no flow since. I changed that yestereday. Figured it would clear up by now.

ahh ok thanks. That might make sense. I thought the alage cycle was during the nitrite spike? It starts after the cycle? My nitrates have not gone higher than 10ppm so far.
