More Pictures!!! Getting sooo close now!!! stand is done! No more black paint, stripped, sanded, stained, sealed, and moved in. Also I have mounted my new lights in the hood :spin1:. I was going to buy t slot hanging kit, though I thought to my self Ace Hardware is down the street. Went in there and i was able to get all of what i needed. All stainless steel also. I decided to make a tension wire hanging kit my self. So glad i did, due to the hood being so low profile. The hanging kit that came with lights i used, but i had to modify them. The wire connecting to the pendants were to long, so i cut them and re crimped the length so now they are at a great height. Also i ran a 1/4" hard plastic water line up to my attic for the air intake for the Matrix skimmer. So all the noise will be up in the attic therefore leaving the system more quiet.
Please let me know what you guys think, sorry for dragging the build on, I have little time to work on it. Here is a link to more photos. As before the pictures are on my photobucket in the build folder.
Joey - I have two unopened bags of Aragonite aggregate to donate if you need anymore substrate (phosphate free ). Just let me know.
Don't have any extra salt although
yup, it's in my trunk. I will be out around 7:30 AM I will leave on your porch. Glad to be able to help ya get up and running .
Also if you need help in getting RO/DI I can sport you 30 or so gallons a day (It runs more, but I am not there to get my catch tub drained off). I run a Specta Max Cap so it is good stuff.
I have the same lights over one of my tanks now, only thing I hate about them is that when the power goes out, the lights reset to the factory settings cycle which peaks at 100% W 100% B.
I haven't looked at trying to change it but just giving you a heads up.
I would like to say a big thanks to Jane's_MW and CrazyEyes! Jane's_MW thank you for the to water and the aggregate! That helps so much in getting this long process of filling with water go a bit quicker. Also CrazyEyes; thank you for helping me with setting up my rodi and the final touches with the plumbing. I have some updated pictures of the build. Getting closer!!!
Hoohoodillio; thank you for the observation of the level! I did throw a level on to double check the levelness of the tank. And with further investigation I found that the door to the hood needs to be re-hung. Good thing I am not a carpenter lol.
Also Tryder thank you for the heads up with the lights resetting during a power outage. To me the value of these lights are huge compared to the price. I One day I may own radions or something to that extent. Although light is light lol. Here is a link to the updated pics.
Well the past few days have been very productive. Got all the sand, rock, and rodi saltwater in. Plumbing is installed and lights are hung! I really like my rock work. Not bad for not being able to see a damn thing when place in lol. Still cloudy from filling but clearing up pretty quick. Here are some pictures.
