My Zoanthids went from 3 and an almost to 4 and 4 almosts. I haven't gotten too far on the nice finish yet, but on a positive note, I did cut up most of the waltnut for the trim of the doors. Everything is doing well in the tank, and I will have to add some newer shots under the MH lights.

LPS look good, I see a leather over there too. Nice, the cap doesn't look good at all though, which tells me that you have a problem with nitrates and/or phosphates. Do you have hair algae growing in your overflow? if so I would suspect your nutrients are too high. As well as possibly an alkalinity swing. But over all your doing better than most that start a tank. Just a few things to work on.

Speaking of working on.... get that stand done!!!!!

lol, yea I have a lot hair algea. I have had it for weeks. What could be a cause for high nutrients? I have been having a few issues with getting my protien skimmer to stay constant....

looms? lol I heard that if/when I start dosing my cyano will go away, or most of it. I heard if I use vinegar it takes more but it will help with the cyano. I have to wait until I get a nitrate test kit though...

hey JC, what do you think, since vodka is a stronger/more potent carbon source, because of my small tank wouldn't it be better to use vinegar so I can get it more accurate? I read its 1ml Vodka to 8ml vinegar. Since I have about 45 gal water in my tank, it would be easier to get a specific dosing that would be matched to my tank. What do you think?
