Creetin - I am setting up a 250 DD right now. Any idea what was the cause of the leak earlier this year?

I am also setting up a 200 DD right now...this is the third instance I have heard of them leaking...do you know if they have improved them over time?

look like i will be ordering my 250DD within a couple of weeks
Banker and CMT, I Like the new tank better. I did take extra precautions and put a plywood bottom on my stand so all corners were well covered. My leak was VERY small i only got a few drips per hour. This one is at its first birthday in a month. The old one was leaking at this point.
The new tank looks to be much better built. I am very happy with it.

What do you feel is better about the new tank?
Well I should have said a cleaner silicone job. Not that the last one was too shabby, I could tell the new one was better, Mine was one of the first dd tanks built.
I don't think you should have anything to worry about. I would buy another one.

That's great to hear. Just got the tank filled this past Saturday. Awaiting lights now which I hope will be in next week.
