This tank is double layered bottom panes. 1/2 inch a piece!!

The tank looks great. I want to give you some information about the bottom. It is not a double layered panes.

The bottom is a 19mm (3/4") single pane.

I am quite certain its double paned. You can see the drilling is a bit off on holes on the bottom. The are close but are not pefect.
Its the same glass as the sides, But 2 of them.

The drill is a bit off because the hole is drilled from both sides of the glass.

Awesome setup on the tank!

Short vid on the tank, Its moving along. I need some stuff to finish it off like a controller and maybe another tunze with controller.

The problem with the 2900 pump is when it's with the original volute the pump will be to noise & with the custom volute the pump will run quiet and balance flow . I realy want to know when you test it with the original volute how it's run and if the flow steady with the original volute .

Creetin,
Looking at using the 2900 for my 300 Marineland build as well. Are you still using it or have you gone with another pump?

I am using the blackfin 3600 and have all my equipment running off it. Chiller,gfo/carbon reactors, CA/RX,ect and that leaves me around 1800 gph for return.

No the laguna is a good pump, Quiet, reliable but its not as refined, and needs to be diy'ed to fit to your plumbing.
It is better at flow than pressure, but is not a whimpy pump. It can handle a little pressure.
It was more of me wanting to run an external pump and i didnt feel comfortable running the laguna out of sump. With smaller volute and no anti calcium loop i felt it would just need alot more maint.

Youre welcome Haxer and Thank you Strout. :)

Just a little update finnally got the chiller plumbed in 100% and top off complete. Installed the APEX controller 2.5 weeks ago and it has been running flawless. Tunze's have been running off it and everything has been good except my co2 ran out just after i left for vacation and my alk dropped like a stone, and lost a couple sps and stressed some. Not too bad i was not stocked heavy in sps yet. I was planning on this fall stocking back up.

The sohal is king of the tank now, But no aggression after the switch. There was a little tussling at first but when the orange shoulder found out the sohal has the bigger scalpel he backed down from the throne.

Thought i would update this, I had a leaker, and the tank was replaced by ML I went thru a tank switch and learned i can get this tank out of the basement. :( It was a very hard job. I lost a few fish in the process, But gained a few new additions. Sold off most of my lps and zoa's and just going prettymuch all colored sticks.
Heres a new vid of the tank.

Thanks its still pretty bare. I'll pick up some aquacultured SPS in a few weeks to help fill it out, along with some frags. Getting the angels on pellets from frozen takes alot of food. I could not resist another angel. Picked up a goldflake yesterday, It will be here friday weather permitting.

Heres a closeup of the scribbled begging for food.

Been awhile took some time letting the tank age and let the angels eat all my corals. LOL
Sad but they are gone, I like my corals too much.
Some new pics of some cool corals i have.
