Nice,

Linda overkill on the beams, but looks good. Remember the main support needs to be on the end.

I am building one now for my 450

I uploaded starter photos today

I'd rather be safe than sorry with the beams....no wet floors hopefully!

All corners of the stand have a 4x4 to put that pressure directly to the foundation of the stand

Your place looks raised, can you put a drain in?

In case of floods and to help with water changes?

The sump was put in because the basement of that house is actualy 40 some years old and the sewer system is at eye level. I had to do a pump up system with a sump pump for my utility sink. I'll have to take some finished photos of that tomorrow. These pics are about 5 days old. much progress since :D

The sump was mainly there for the utility sink for the fishroom but will also serve as a backup for a flood and ease for water changes. After having to clean my skimmer cup due to size in the shower for years, I told myself as soon as I get a house I'm getting a utility sink in my fishroom.

Yea,

Good idea, my tank is above the basement so I will be having the basement re enforced. I will upload more images in the morning

This is the tank as of 8/23. Plumbing is ran through the floor, light rack built and installed, lights wired, vent fan hung but still needing the electicians help.

If I may make a suggesetion , you should take the picture down with the dog in the tank clinging for it's life. Kinda not cool for animal lovers to see.

On the other hand the tank build looks great so far.
Just to let you know the vent above the tank will eventually rust from the salt in the air. I've had that same problem with mine in a couple months.

Actualy the chihuahua loves being in there swimming around. He's used to going into my 300g liverock vat when I was water testing it. I guess I should post the video of him begging at the stand to get in.

A few updates:

Found my first hitchhiker....I think I'll keep it :3195::3195:

we decided to jump in when it was fresh water tested....tank took a few days to fill with rodi and turned the system on, NO LEAKS!!:3195: As of tonight I'm trying to stabilize temp and get the salinity up. I washed the sand in rodi before putting it into the tank. Also I got some 5/8th food grade poly sheeting I cut to fit the bottom of the tank. I layed that down before putting the sand into the tank as some protection for the bottom glass.
