Don Lino...I don't mean hand feed each fish, hahaha...I dont use an automatic feeder. But that is a thought...build a machine to remove it from the fridge, thaw it out, mix it with some flakes, add some selcon, put it in the tank...all pc controlled...hmmm!!!

mflamb, you make something like that...You'll be rich!!! Myself, I enjoy sticking my hands in the tank, target feeding my corals, chasing away the fish and beating my shrimp with my turkey baster...thats FUN. :D

Ha Ha, You Too!!! I'm afraid he is going to see me coming one day and leap out of the tank at me.... i can't put my hand in there without him having to check it out... he is my guard shrimp, well so long as food is involved...

Mflamb, so when are you going to build the RC'er rental unit? I'll invest in the timeshare if it has a view of that tank :) Glad you are making progress. / the design can be a pain but is one thing i really enjoyed.... At least i think because ihave not run out of ideas yet.
 
doomicon, BlueCoast...A 2-3 foot turkey baster...that gave me a great idea for a target feeder. I'll work on that and get back with you. It was great to meet both of you guys at the BBQ. doomicon, nice mermaid!

Mike, How far did we figure you were from my place in South St. Pete? I might just have to make some trips up there to you to lend a hand some time.
 
im assuuming with all this flow are you heading towards sps.
i plan on something of this magnitude when we build our house after college. i figure if i buy close to the best in stuff it should last hopefully at least 10-15 years.
 
ryan115...It took me 45 minutes to Rockin Reef, with traffic.
markandkristen...sps and anything that will work well with them, lots of fish, clams. I'm on the other end of the college thing. Kids graduated. No college bills.

I know where you talking about. I take sefner/valrico to get to the Wal-Mart and Home Depot. Sorry for being so off topic...Let me know when you need a hand.
 
I picked up a 125 from Bruce yesterday and cleaned it up. I slid it into the stand to mark where I want to install the bulkheads and baffles. I'll get glass cut this week and silicone it in. My hole saws and bulkheads should be here this week also, so I should have a completed sump installed by the end of the year. I also cleaned up the 50 gallon I'm going to use as a qt and a skimmer for it and put it in the guest bedroom. Here are some pics:

We can if I can get my schedule to work. I work one Saturday a month and it has been on the 2nd Saturday for a while.
