My 40B SPS tank

Been on the forums for quite a while but haven't posted all that much. Figured it was about time to get some pics up of one of my tanks.

This is of my 40 breeder that is set up as a peninsula, it is also connected to a 140g tank that is in wall in my basement and a 20g frag tank. All tanks share a 100g rubbermaid sump.

Lighting on this tank is two 150W XM10k MH with two 39W ATI Blue+ I will be swapping the XMs out to something a bit more blue on the next bulb change now that the tank is starting to grow in.

Flow is achieved with two Koralia 11050s as well as whatever is coming from the return.

Dosing for the whole system is via a Geo 612 calcium reactor with a second 6" chamber.

On to the pics

First a growth pic from the last year, this pic was taken just about one year ago

I might have the wrong person, but i beleive ive seen this in person before ;)

Very awesome!!

Nice looking tank. Question...when you first started out, were the frags your own stock from the main tank? They seemed to grew well.

Are you going to the FFM in UCONN this Saturday? You should bring some frags to sell.

This was the first tank stocked of all that I have so all these frags were from other peoples tanks, unfortunately I have other things going on this weekend so won't be able to go to FFM.

isnt it satisfying growing out the frags?

it looks great too. nice job and arrangement

It is, you forget how much things have actually grown until you go back and look at old pictures. I have just started to have to cut things back in the last couple months because they are growing into eachother. I could have worse problems...

Thanks everyone Here is a behind the scenes of the guts of the system, you can see the back side of the 140 in this pic
