Also just got word today that the overflow has shipped and should arrive on Friday =)

Got my overflow today from Melev's reef

Also concluded that a factory canopy is not going to work. Thinking of building one that is 12" off the top of the trim.

Whats the measurements of that overflow box?
What did mark charge for it if you don't mind?
I plan something similar on my 120xh

The overflow is 26x4x5, it was $55+shipping.

I really like it.
I'll prolly make mine 4 sided though and drill holes through it for the bulkheads. That way there isn't any silicone lines.

Are you using all three holes for the overflow like the beananimal overflow and make a siphon?

I'm not sure what a beananimal overflow is but the center 1" hole is the drain line, it will have a PVC 90 fitting creating the siphon. The 2 3/4" are the return lines which will be lock line up and over the sides of the overflow..

As for having it a 4 sided complete box. That really doesn't make good sense. If you do the silicone correctly no one will ever see the silicone bead. I am by no means a silicone expert but with the instructions from Discoreefrover and Melv I think I can handle it... Pictures to come...
