how do manage to maintain a mandarinfish in a 54g? do you have a large refugium? do you feed it?

reefer91- I have a 28 gallon refugium and my mandarin eats frozen food and flake so he does just fine, I am contemplating adding a female actually since the male eats frozen and I have such a large fuge.

Hey dandy, have you ever heard of making a needle wheel into a mesh wheel? a friend of mines from cmas broke all the needles off and then took metal mesh and took to layers making circles to fit on top of the impeller and that supposedly helps make more bubbles than the needle wheel.

Made some kalk stirrers for a few local guys, who knows where this will lead....

Other than that the tank is just trucking along. I did spot my first little patch of cyno today about a 1" x 1" square so I'm a little frustrated by that. The upside to that is that when I looked at i I saw 4 tiny blue zoanthid paly's growing in it from a frag I had mounted there about 6months ago and I just lost the colony from the tank I moved them to several days ago I am getting some new stuff this weekend so I'll post a couple pics then.

lol It worked out to be about $16.50 for a 50# bag delivered so everyone just bought a lifetime supply. This is the primo stuff too, much better than the Mrs Wages or Rowakalk for that matter
