My 560 gallon Acro oasis

Nice tank build, I miss my big acro filled tank, I've tried to get a bigger acro filled tank going, but I've had some issues so I'll live vicariously through you who can make it work right :D

Now about that electrical in the fishroom, it looks like you cut out for a junction box, but then just decided to run the NM wire through the hole to other junction boxes. Might want to make sure that door is locked if an inspector ever comes to visit. Might not fly right with him.

Thanks everyone ! Really appreciate all the input and compliments . It's been A lot of tough work lately :/ thought this was supposed to be fun! Lol

I was wondering if someone could measure one of there t5 bulbs.... I'm building my light rack and have the end caps but no bulbs. I would like to get my end caps mounted to the light rack I built.... Please let me know what a 48" t5 bulb actually measures ... Thanks !

54watt UVL actinic T5 is 45 - 1/8 from endcap to endcap not including prongs. Prongs insert flush with your endcaps and the bulb is definitely short of 48 inches.

Really there that much short of 48" huh.... I appreciate it ! I plan to run ati bulbs.... Rise anyon know if there's a difference in length ?

Very impressive tank!!! I have always dreamed of making a tank like this but financially not an option right now:( But on the bright side I get to watch you make it happen and look great:)

Thank you! I have watched these forums for what seems like a decade now of these massive builds, I always dreamed of it now it's here, let me tel,ha it's a lot more work the. I thought it would be lol! This plumbing had been kicking my butt and making the canopy as well! I appreciate the kind words and I am sure one day it will be possible for u soon !

Keep up the good work. Looking good!

Thanks!

Just finished the canopy today m I should be able to get a buddy to help me lift it up there tomorrow , believe it or now the tank seems small in the room that it's in, until I had to move the canopy out to my mud room where I did all the sanding and staining, the thing is massive, I think it weighs 150 lbs at least... I still have to put the aluminum on the doors of canopy but I hope to have a couple pics for everyone tomorrow!

Appreciate the kind words everyone , and if anyone has a measurement on there retro fit t5 setup lmk thanks!

As promised a few pics of canopy I finished today but could t find anyone to help me lift it up ....

Nope, when I ran T5s I did 4 ATI blue-plus with the UVL actinics, and they were all in the same fixture (the UVL are simply leftover from those days).

I use a hand scraper from hardwoodindustry products.com it's actually really hard to find these hand scrapers and I found this company that has them and I love them! I bought 2 !

Good to know about the bulbs I can lay out my t5 end ape on my light rack now
