My 60 Gallon Seahorse Cube -Completed :)

I'm looking forward ti warptching this tank mature over the next several months.

What are the tank dimensions? Is it a 24" cube?

Your tank is gorgeous! It's great incentive for those of us still in the planning stages to really think outside the box and see just what we can come up with. I hope you don't mind if we borrow some of your ideas! :-D
Have you figured out why your yellow macro turned orange? I really like orange, but if you could get some to stay yellow, it would be out of this world! The macro you have already make it look fake at first glance since it is so colorful.

First off I have to say that this is an absolutely beautiful display for seahorses! Job well done!!

I do have a question; I'm assisting a friend in setting up a Marineland 60 cube w/ that same stand, what I've been unable to find are the internal dimensions of the stand. Can you help me with that info, please? We're attempting to plan everything and its rather difficult to start thinking about sumps & skimmers when you don't have those dimensions.

Thank you for your assistance and again, great looking display!

Thanks. I totally understand about the need for inside dimensions. I even called Marineland to find out about them (they gave me the wrong info by the way) so I could get my sump made etc.
You have about 31" height inside the stand and close to 23" by 23" inside foot print. The back is all the way open but has a 5" board on top (in other words the largest thing you could push in there would be about 22" wide and 25" tall.
I had a custom sump made for it that's 22x15x15 and that was just about perfect for the stand IMO.

wow nice move on the shadowbox. Is this just the gel sheet with a light near the top or is there an actual box. Are you using white or blue LEDs? I love the idea, it does give that illusion of depth as opposed to a static background.

just the gel sheet with regular white LED sticks. No box at all :)
(I find it easier to get a color I like if I get the sheet colored and the LEDs plain white because there are so many more choices in sheets and LEDs

Thanks for the detailed pictures of your set up. This is just what I had been considering, but I'm complete novice and was unsure if I could do a 'proper' tank without a refugium. I have a million questions, as I am getting ready to start a seahorse research project for my grad thesis and have zero experience, but a whole lotta love. I may be picking your ears (everyone) very soon. Thanks again, it's beautiful.

Thanks. I preselected online but then was lucky to be able to get them locally.
I ended up choosing a much lighter color than what I had had in mind first. It's good to see them in person. Tough to predict how it will look with your lighting from just a screen picture. They were cheap enough to where I got two in my original choice and 2 in that lighter color that I ended up going with.
Do you have a local theater supply store that carries them so you can see them?

Im sure there's one somewhere in my area, but I honestly dont have a clue! Looks like I need to get on that. If worse comes to worse I'll just buy a few different flavors from that website and go from there. . .

Thanks for your input!
