My 65 in photos

I am no photography pro, but taking photos makes me strangely happy. I am especially interested in the world less seen and with a new camera and lens I think that I finally can explore that interest. I will post photos of corals and other things in my tank. Your comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. These photos are also on my site that has photos of not just corals but I will post marine related shots here. Can I consider this my tank build thread?

Very nice photos... Something different about them... I think that it is that you have not gone to black with most.... The are bright a colored... Not sure I'm saying it right, but I like the style very much

It really makes me feel good to hear you say that. Thanks! I didn't know I had a style, now you have got me thinking.

There is so much color in corals and a reef tank. I am trying to learn how to capture the beauty and at the same time the delicacy of corals and fish. If we can get this impression out to the general public, maybe through photos, maybe they will care more about what's below the oceans and what we are losing and will continue to lose.

Love the jawfish pic. What camera lens combo you using?

Camera: Nikon D40
Lens: Nkion AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED

Most of the close up photos were taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens.
