My 65 in photos

Wow, nice pics. I dont really know what I'm talking about but the photos look professional to me.

Thanks, I do appreciate it very much! Must be the Photoshop signature of my name because half the time I don't know what I'm doing. Going with what "feels" right and your comments help to make me take more shots with confidence.

Excellent photos. I like the bokeh in these photos, it really gives the photo a nice pop. Though, some of these photos are a little soft, but the colors are great. Nice work!

Thanks! What do you mean by soft and which ones? Any suggestions on how to make them better? Really appreciate the helpful comments!

Soft just means that the picture is not tack sharp. Either you missed your focal point by just a bit, or there was a tad bit of camera shake when you took the picture. By just looking through the your pictures, the one that stands out to me as "soft" is the red chalice. It looks like you had just a tiny amount of camera shake. If you aren't using a tripod already, I would recommend you get one immediately! And if you are, trying using a shutter release control or a timer.

Thanks for the explanation and suggestions Brett. I now have a good tripod and a remote so I'll try to use them. I do get shake from pressing the shutter release button.
