Hey Reef - Did you change out the sump while you still had the 75 gallon tank? If so how did you get the new sump into the stand with the center brace??

I'm been toying with the idea of changing out my sump but Im not sure how to get the new one in without taking the tank down.....

On my 75gals tank, the stand was 45" tall so in order for me to put in the new sump which is a 40 gals 36x17x17, i have to stand the sump upward and a lay it in. but for my 120gals new stand. The stand was shorter 40" tall and i couldn't do that with it. its just a board covering the side. My sump will not fit in there with the center brace. So when i build the stand the left side panel can be remove, that's the only way to move the sump in and out and if i need to upgrade to a bigger sump i could do it without taking the tank apart. if you want i can show you some pictures of it.

I understand how you did it.... bummer - I was hoping that there was some way to remove and put a new one in. Sounds like you built the stand with a lot of thought!! That is great!
