My 8.5-gallon 360-view LED Hexagon is back on

Nope. My clowns behave very smart. They swim sideways in the morning begging for food and partly stick their heads out when I bend over the tank to take a look. They never jumped.

I'm thinking to add two tiny chromis. These may probably jump, but I'll see. It looks like a 'cube' of water when the night mode when one of the koralias is off.

What about cardinal fish instead? Long spine or one of the other.

They don't fight and are pretty calm fish.

I checked the cardinal fish. It's nice looking but I guess doesn't have much character. Plus it's like $14 per head. :) Chromis is about $3-$4. Shrimps are out of the question... each is like $20-$30.
I have so many hobbies that I want to save as much as possible. For example to fix my two cool windsurfing sails I need to spend $45 in materials. I'll literally have two 2009 model sails fixed for wave sailing(pure fun) or buy 1.5 shrimps, it doesn't even begin compare.
You see how dangerous is to have many hobbies.

Here is what windsurfing and sails look like / what i do

I promise to look at cardinals though when I see them in person..

I can see that my clowns can kick chromis for a few days and then sign a cease fire agreement. They are very peaceful fish

Alifer, I saw your tank and the question. All the answers are in this thread. Check the links it's all here..!

It looks like you're messing with your tank a lot and there is some kind of bucket underneath it. Koralia Nano for example has a magnetic attachment and will be fine on the side of your tank.

Also, instead of drilling the cylinder in the middle, I would go more to the side so you can position your rocks in the middle. In my opinion, for small tanks like we have it's nice to have a very clean look and hide all tubing as much as possible..

The similar parallel design evolution is surprising, and there I thought I was being pretty original.

After much searching I found your fuge light info in a link in your old thread, which turns out to be the same underwater lights I have installed my Fluval 305 canister.

I originally did a temp setup of my pico at home to workout the bugs before moving it to my office and I later decided to just setup the pico on my home desk instead, so yes it has been messed with a lot. Hopefully I'm now done with everything but the stocking.

It's amazing. I haven't been to the forum since 2010. Crazy.

My closed loop tank is still the same and has been running for close to 10 years now. My Eheim 2222 is as good as new and has been working for the last 10 years with no issues.

Actually I hit a jackpot and literally got a pile of equipment from craigslist add for basically close to free. One of 4 filters I got was Eheim 2226 which I'm planning to hook instead of 2222 but need to mod the impeller to slow down the water from say 760l/h to say 500-600 or close to what 2222 has.

Uploaded better photo to already existing album

Wonderful nano. I hope you dont mind me asking, I don't know how chromis behave because I have not kept them, will other fishes not suppress the clownfishes territory too much?

Not sure I'm the right person to answer. I don't have Chromis. In my tank I have 2 average size clowns. 2 inches each, 1 big banded coral shrimp with whiskers extending to 1/3 of a tank, about 10 turbo snails, 2 emerald crabs, some zoas, 1 anemone, I think that Clowns can beat up quite a few fishes. When I added the second Clown they were beating each other for a couple of days but now it's peace and friendship.

My tank is only 8 gallons so likely will not be adding any more fish. Clowns will definitely start beating Chromis up. Generally Clowns are pretty peaceful and get bored fighting so question is when and if they stop. :)

By the way, what happened to the Nano sub forum...? no paging is available and only new threads coming up
