elephen - The lights pheonix 14K's 250w hqi. I switched out the 13K Giesemann's pretty much right off the bat. I really like the coloration of the pheonix bulbs. From what I have read they have good par too. The 13K megachromes where VERY bright and not blue enough for my taste.
Thanks for the compliments everybody. I'm getting a lot of growth lately but I've noticed some of my sps are fading a little. I'm gradually cutting down the photo period of the halides by 1.5 hours and gonna let it run this way for about a month and see what happens. My REAL green milli is now a yellowish green for instance. The tanks been running now for about 7 or 8 mos I'd say. I have about 40 sps about 5 or so are small colonies and I'm trying to get my reactor dialed in so I don't have to supplement with b-ionic. Right now I have to add a dash once a week or so to keep my alk @ 3.5meq/L. Its tough but I just got another ph probe and an adapter so I can control the CO2 with my neptune so maybe that will help tune it a little better. These regulators are tough to get perfect.
