My 90g rebuild

Well I will start off by telling you a little about myself i've been keeping marine fish for years off and on. My Dad has finally retired from the military so no more moving!!! We are living in Michigan know and so far I love it here and feel like its time to set up my 90g. Can't decide on the path im going to take either FOWLR or mixed reef. Mainly because I still live with my parents while I work and go to school but plan on moving out in 2-3yrs. So I been second guessing the reef idea don't want to put in a ton of work and have to take it down when its at its prime. So I been thinking this is the perfect opportunity to get some cool fish that I will not have the chance to keep when I set my next tank up. This is my first buld thread bare with me lol sorry for the bad pics in advance.

My fish space I have taking over from my parents.=] Cabinet above the fridge is full of my filter socks, test kits, media, and other common fish things. Don't think this is what my mom envisioned in her basement lol. Pretty much me and my Dads space been getting him into it.

Not done aquascaping just set the rock in the tank was taking up to much space.

Stuff that I will be doing tomorrow installing the drain line bulkhead. Try and fill the rest of the system off with water and plug it in and hope there is no leaks and my programming for the apex works lol. Oh also need to pick up a wireless bridge or gaming adapter so I can control the apex wirelessly.

Guess I will keep talking to myself lol quick update can't do what I was going to do today got out of work late and my normal LFS was closed so went to a different one no bulkheads. Why do saltwater fish stores carry rr tanks and such but never bulkheads? Also suggestions on a fuge/stand light so dark can't see in my stand was thinking somthing like a led strip but one thats not 100 bucks. It would just be used for lighting the inside of the stand up. Than I would have a seperate light for the fuge or would it be easier to just have it all in one? Any suggestions? I tried the jbj macro glo piece of junk went into the garbage lol almost shocked my self to death 3 times.

Nice build. keep us posted with lots of pix. I am also building a system so I love to see what others are doing.

same do you have a thread? I figured i'd make one this time so I can see the progress in fish growth and what not. Plus RC is just awesome!!

Awesome man everything looks great! I wish I had a controller!

Best thing I purchased if I programed it right lol. We take regular trips to visit family members in indiana so hopefully know it will be easier on my friend. Plus no more unplugging stuff to turn it off and on.

Tomorrow if my LFS is not lieing to me and has the bulkhead lol it will be filled and plumbed so I can finally plug it in!!!!!!! Next step is to decide what the heck I want to do with the tank leaning towards FOWLR never had corals but tank will only be up for 2-3yrs so decided not to go that route till I get my own place. Might try a cheap coral or 2 to give me something else to look at.

soft corals are always nice, hardy, readily available and cheap. I have a modest build thread going, feel free to look into it for aspiration if need be! I hope to update soon.

Well its up and running with RO water no leaks which means nothing to me because the last time I set it up it leaked after 3 months so fingers crossed lol. Will add salt tomorrow when the temp is 75 ish in the tank will also take some more pics.

Can't wait for the pics! I am hoping to leak test my system tomorrow, just waiting on an impeller to get here!

Thanks, can't wait to see how yours turns out to. I hate going to the LFS with no tank always end up seeing awesome fish, inverts, and corals. Than when its up and running there is always nothing lol.
