My anemone split again

about a year ago I had a power outage for about eight hours, and it was stressfull too my anemone, so it split. Well, yesterday I did about a 15 percent water change, exact temp. and sal. perfect ro/di water. You know just what your supposed to do. I got home from going out to dinner tonight and looked in my tank only to find out that one of the anemones split again. Do you think this was brought on from the water change?

Congratulations! I have an enormous rose that just went behind the rockwork, mine do this just before a split so I am anticipating one soon too. I perform large water changes weekly, never noticed them effecting my anemones at all. Some say they do. How about a picture, love pictures!

In the 2 years I have had mine I have had 2 splits. Some split more often then others. They split most often from stress and it could be something very minor like your replacement water is off by a degree or two or the SG off a little. They also split when very happy and healthy because it's time. A year between splits seems quite good especially if it had grown large. I would not worry, if it is healthy you're doing a good job. : )

mine moved out of the current and attached itself to the top left corner of the tank last night and walla one new addition today. I will get some pictures tomorrow when the lights are back on, hopefully they will move back on the rock, so they can pose for some good pictures. This is kind of cool, My son is going to take one for his tank, and my dad is gonna take one for his tank. I wont have room for all of them in my tank. started out with one, and now will have one for each generation. some people pass down antiques, I am passing down anemones.

If they don't move off the glass, it will be easier for you to remove them when it's time to give them away. I hate peeling them off the rocks, so nerve wracking! Waiting for the pictures : )

I took some pictures and the smallest file size I can come up with is 62k. I dont know how too make it any smaller. Help!!! Its the first time I tried this.

I use photobucket. Upload photo there and then copy IMG code of photo on photobucket (on dropdown below photo) On RC using "post reply" not quick reply, paste it then submit. That's how I do it. I hope that was not too confusing.

I finally learned to use this method to post pictures and it works great.
