My anemone with clown fish photo !

Trilogy

Hello everyone. I want to share some photo of my current clown fish and anemone . I'm having the nem for almost a year now. The nem is fine but the only problem is the color. Anyway , the nem is doing good..eating well , no sign of open mouth , and very sticky tentacles. Im using T5 bulbs for now, i'm planning to change to LED lighthing soon. I feed the nem fresh shrimp every 4-5 days. Do regular water change every 2 weeks around 30-50%. Tank params salinity 1.023-1.025 , NO3 = 0 , PO4 = almost zero , PH 8.0 .

nice looking clowns. how deep is your tank? is it a possibility that the t5s are bleaching it?

Hi buk , my tank depth is 1 1/2 ft . Hmm, I'm not sure about bleach cause by the T5 bulbs , but I'm going to sort them out ASAP ! Anyway thanks for comment .

That anemone does not look healthy for on that have been in captivity for 1 year. Good luck with him. Three species of clowns at least in the tank. Tell us a little more about the condition you keep him in.
How big is the tank? How much light? Why so much water change every 2 weeks?
How are the corals in that tank?

Hello orion , yes i have been keeping my nem for almost a year now. And so far , the nem is fine. The only problem now is the color. I've been having this problem for sometime now. And i know anemone takes time to gain back its color. Well my tank is 2 1/2 by 1 ft in size. Im running 4 T5s bulbs for now. 2 blue and 2 daylight . The reasone why im changing so much water because i notice each time my nem begin to look stress , and thats when i need to change the water. After changing 30-50% , it looks better the next day. For the salt mix i prefer RedSea Coral Pro salt. The tank has only 3 fish which is the True Percula , False and tomato clown. No corals , just the 3 of them with the anemone.

Disaster ahead with those fish my friend. Let us know if you keep the three different types together successfully. I take it they are all juveniles?

hello dmoody , my fish is fine , they don't fight with each other. So far the true percula and the false seem to be really close to each other. They stay close in the anemone while the tomato just swim around the tank. Even when i feed them, they dont fight or show aggressiveness.

interesting...you're running a bare bottom tank with a carpet anemone for a year now?
I also do not see any LR to speak of...how about a FTS please? ;)

BTW, great pix :D

Hi Cet98, yeah as you can see my tank is without any sand. I got a couple of live rocks in the tank where the anemone placed it self on to. I will post a fts when I get my camera. The camera when diving together with a friend of mine. Hehe!

Hello orange goby. The tomato clown is doing great ! He just love to eat, eat, eat !! Haha. My tomato and the two other clowns seem to get along . But he is not allowed to stay anywhere near the anemone. But usually at night when the lights are off, a peep and watch them. The tomato love to 'sleep' at the anemone's foot. While the other clowns stay in the anemone.
