My Aussie Acan Dominated Reef Tank

that looks awesome, I recently decided to convert my 240 to an acan lord tank and looking at your tank give me something to shoot for. I just ordered some radium 20k's to replace my hamilton 14k's as I have been reading more about the 20k's and better colors. I have added 20 frags so far and hardly makes a dent in covering rocks. How quickly does yours spread? I have been twice weekly heavily feeding cyclops when its dark and all the feeders are extended. Hoping for your success rates. Keep up the good work.

Thanks... Some acans grow much faster than others. Try using ReefRoids..Acans love it.

Hey there,

I am so inspired by your tank I just had to write :)

Congrats on true work of living art! I admire your dedication.

I am on the relative beginning of my journey.. Just shy of my first six months.. I'm based in Montreal, so naturally I'm curious where you have been able to source such fine specimens in Canada. I just discovered Burc at Fragalot.ca who has amazing acans and brains. I'm sure you must already know about him!

LFS don't seem to cut it at this level.

I have one question if you wouldn't mind educating me.. I was under the impression that you have to space acans out a lot to prevent them from stinging each other, but your tank appears to defy this rule.. Is there something I'm missing or am I just being too overcautious (new guy syndrome I suppose)..

Thanks for touching base eh!

UPDATE.... I've had a severe infection run through the tank in less then 48hrs. I've lost 90% of my Acans. This happened over a year ago and I'm still in shock.. After the devastating blow I've since removed the tank and im in the planning stages for another tank. I'll be back

Happened to me twice with acans. I won't buy them any longer. Sorry to hear, but glad you'll be back.
