Ran into a few issues once again but hey adapt and overcome. I have to drywall the inside of it with moisture*mold free drywall. But that will be next week since im going on vacation with the wife ;-)*

Ty. Im realizing that these tank builds are not for me. No wonder why i have always had complete system tanks like rsm and biocubes lol. I want some fish and stonies already is that to much to ask lol

I would run the electrical box above the tank. Sometimes its not possible, especially if you have already existing electrical. But if you have to do it now anyways, putting it above i think would be safer. A lot harder for water to travel up than down.

I split mine. Ran a socket for just for the lights in the canopy and one for the equipment down below. Its a pain to do it but once its done, it so much easier to organize and less electrical in the salty air. I would go for it.

Black i have though about placing it above the tank but might be really difficult due to the space i will have. I would have to remove another piece of wall just to move it :-\. So i will leave it as a last resort. Although like you said, it would be optimal.

This was another option i was considering as well just like blacks, since i wont have so many wires in the same place. But like i told black. No a lot of space :'(. Im going on vacation today for 4 days and will contemplate all my options ;-)

The power cord for the hydra is plenty long to reach from hanging height to the floor and include a good drip loop. As long as you put a drip loop in all your wires they will stay safe.

A friend of mine just put a single hydra over a Red Sea max 130d. Great coverage, looks awesome.

Hey guys thank you for all the replies, really means a lot. As well as the suggestions i have gotten to ease this build. Sorry i hadnt posted in a few days but i was in a cruise with the wife. Got back yesterday morning and had some time to work on this. Have some pics i will post today. ;-)

Took some advise from Black and EZ and moved the electrical socket to were it will sit on top of the tank. I also added a ac vent to place fans on the inside and suck the cold air from the outside in to cool the tank
