Amazing job, Hindsight but using hardibacker instead of drywall would have made it waterproof, or at least for inside of stand.

What a great use of space for a tank. Good idea on the vent. Drawing air in is definitely better than pulling air out. Keeps all the salty stuff out of the fans longer.

looks like its coming along nicely.
ty black, i have taken a lot of your suggestions and used them to ease this build

OMG! This looks awesome, I want one.

I kinda did, i used this pvc sheets they sell at home depot that are supposed to be waterproof and encased the sump area and the back and sides that were going to be splashed by water the most. lets hope it works

Does anyone know were i can buy those power strips that have the individual switches to turn off each thing by flicking the switch rather than unplugin it. i have no cluew were to find them.

OH one last thing i finished painted everything today and got my cabinets measured. Should have them in a few weeks. I also hung the lights :), and got my sump. its a 20g. I will put the tank in the wall tomorrow, and start the plumming. Hoping if all goes well to be ready by monday. lets pray and bring on the fishies

Ok so i have reached a problem, im doing a herbie OF and im debating what size pump to use. All 3 of my drain holes are 1in. I read that its recommended about 300-350 gph for the return. So thats about so i was thinking about a mag 5. Does this sound about right. Or open to suggestions

I got the rocks cooking in the backyard. Hoping to put them in a few days. Now i got to figure out what im doing to do about the wall trim, since this was is soo freaking uneven. Dawm contractors who build this place lol

You get the overflow figured out? I am planning on eventually doing the same

Ehh kinda, its really quiet but for some reason when i turn of the pump and then back on i immediately get a siphon. And instead of draining from the emergency first then the main like the videos show, it goes main then the water level slowly climbs to the emergency drain. Idk if its normal?
