I am using 12k reeflux 150 watt metal halides and 96 watt true actinics.
CTS-BTA stands fro bubble tip anenome. RBTA stands for the rose colored version.
Magnificant foxface
i am hoping he splits by the way. while he is becomming quite the show piece he is just a monster. !!!!!

they dont NEED it at all, but they really will LOVE it if its available. in the wild it is for protection, but in our tanks, we dont usualy keep groupers with our clownfish so its not as important.

weird how one side of it is bubbled and the other side is just like normal tentacles. nice nem though

bta splitting

bta splitting

i had a rbta that was that size and it just split yesterday. that thing was huge. all i had to do was a water change. i also moved that rock that it was on.

Pretty BTA. :) Look like very happy clownfish ya got there too. :)

I've read that heavy feeding for a few weeks followed by large water changes can induce splitting. I've never let mine split on their own though, so I can't speak from experience.

Whatever happens, good luck with your BTA...looks like it's been well cared for so far!
