My BTA split!

One of bta(s) has been acting funny and somewhat hiding this last week or so. Last night as I am doing my normal maintenance I realized why, he was almost done splitting. Very cool. Well this morning the split is complete. I have one question, how long should I leave the new addition in my tank before giving him to someone?:D

When my old RBTA would split I always waited to see that it had a full disk and was eating ( about 2 weeks to a month)

hehe..funny thing..mine did the same thing last night. and they are no where near each other. One was on the glass, and at first i though it had got sucked into my filter or something, but then i seen the clown swim into the other one. i have read splitting isnt a good thing, and other says it is..

You must get it out of the tank now, at all costs, before its too late!!!!!

...I'll be happy to take it from you. he he.

Here is a pic of mine from about a week ago...

Thanks for advice college, but it is spoken for. I checked on it today at lunch and both are looking very nice. The were both inflated nicely, but I couldn't really see the mouths. My male tomato clown seems to like the new addition, as he is watching over it very closely. I feel like a proud poppa :)

a2fire2i I love the pinkish/orangish tips really nice. My other bta is similiar but with purple tips.

the g/f just called and said one of them had found its away to the filter intake and was sucked into it. she pulled it out, and said its looking pretty good. i have always hated the idea of them in my tank as they like to roam until they are happy..

well..i come home to find my tank cloudy and the BTA back on the filter intake. I take the intake off, and there isnt much left of the BTA as its turned into snow and is all over the tank. I am running carbon, and making water to do a water change. The skimmer is running, but pulling NOTHING!! Everything else in the tank still looks healty and alive though..

Sorry to hijack your thread...

no worries bro sorry to hear that about your anemone. Fortunately mine have moved..... yet. I hope goes well for you.

Yeah..its in my 20L tank, so it really worries me. I just did a 5 gallon water change. im pretty ****ed because i asked the g/f to cover the intake with a sponge we have so it wouldnt happened again and she failed to do so. I even stressed to her the importance of what this happening could do to my tank and she takes care of the tanks just as much as i do..
