My C. Dubia are making a come back!

I bought 2 C. Dubia from a LFS because the LFS and I were both worried about there condition, they had algae growing on them, they were in too warm of water, and the one last one of its spearing appendages, well after having them for about a week i have some GREAT news, the one with only one rap. is taking silversides like a champ and has lost alot of algae growth that was on it (mostly looked like brown diatom) and the other which had hair algae growing all over it...made a successful molt and is currently hardening the new molt which is why it wasnt eating too well, i have some of the molt including one of its raps, its still pretty small and i will take a picture of it with a quarter for size reference...pics will be up within an hour

that is AWESOME to hear matty! I was prayin for those guys. still not out of the woods yet, although it seems the're out of the thickest of it. keep up the good work!

sweet. that's cool. kinda gross looking at that algae covered telson though. makes me cringe at what that poor things gone through.

yeah thats just the telson, the whole body was like that!

she was healthy though with it and didnt pay too much attention to it

she's lucky the algae roots didn't penetrate far enough to make a molt impossible eh?

Amazing! I could have sworn Dr. Roy said that nearly all infections like this are fatal. You are lucky! One is already pretty much in the clear, and the other looks like it has a pretty good chance.
