my CA test kit says i have 700 ppm

I dont think im doing the test wrong, but it says im at about 720 ppm.... wouldnt everything be dead if ca was that high? maybe my kit is messed up? its made by salfert and i bought it new like 2 mos ago from jeffs.

test some ro/di water and see if it still give you 700ppm cal. It should be pretty low. If not, you're doing something wrong. Also check your effluent output for cal. In order to get 720ppm cal, your effluent would be a lot higher.
