Very nice you guys. I love Christmas decorations.
Being I was an electrician for 40 years and my Birthday is on Christmas and I play Santa, I always went crazy on lights. But as you get older, I reduce it a lot every year. I don't go all around the roof or top floor windows any more and as you can see I didn't even do the eaves.
But I miss doing it and you guys did it beautifully.
Merry Christmas.

My family doesn't do a lot of lighting, and neither does anybody really in the neighborhood, but here are a few houses, plus our tree/fireplace. Also the B/W photo is of our deck.

Me?? It's fairly cold here... Cold enough to snow, it's just been really dry haha. The snow will be here tomorrow night... A day late haha. But the high was 35 today, and 33 for Christmas day.

And yes, I know Louis, it's not that cold for you and Recty up in Alaska haha. :D

LOL - cold? Man, it isn't cold up here :) ... everyone is delighted that we have seemed to stablize in the single digits on the warmer side of zero. 35 degrees ... eeks ... I think I might pass out in that kind of temp!! (lol) Actually, I like it to stay below freezing. In the 20's is perfect. If it get too warm it just becomes a mess. In the 20's if you're active you don't even feel it. The snow is perfect for biking of skiing, about anything.

Brett - love the fireplace!

Eveyone, I hope your Christmas is fantastic.

Thanks! I like it too, but my dad doesn't any more, now that his 'silver' colored hair was starting to blend in with the stones this years during our family pictures haha.

I must say, when I do go camping or hiking or whatever, 20's is nice so long as the wind stays fairly calm -- you can work a nice sweat going. The nighttime, however, is a different story when you are camping. -10 with a windchill of -25 just sucks haha.

Were supposed to get about 20" of snow here in NY today.
I love it

LOL - yeah, you and like 2 other people :). My family is in Port Washington, Brooklyn, and out East on the island. They actually don't care I don't think. I know that if it happens and goes into Monday morning the commute is NOT gonna be fun. I remember driving home from the city one time and what usually took 40 mins or so took three hours! Man, you'd think it would be different up here. It's funny though that an often made comment from folks up here in the early winter is "it's amazing, people forget how to drive in the snow".

Well, last I spoke to the family this afternoon they said they had about 6 inches and it was still coming down. Enjoy it!

We got about a foot here now and I can't open my front door but I will get out there in an hour and start snowblowing. I don't want to wake up everyone at least until it gets light out.
I had a snowplowing business for about 10 years so I have no problem driving in it. Of course I don't own a snowplow anymore and my Chevy Equinox is not exactly a tank even though it has 4 wheel drive. I can't even find my PT cruiser and it would not be any good even if I did

I am not really sure how much snow we ended up getting here in Philly...
The wind is so crazy here, you can see the grass in some spots and others have like 2.5ft snow drifts... I would say probably a foot or so, but it's tough to say.

Great pictures guys, thanks for sharing!

I don't decorate outside the house, but here's our humble Christmas tree :)
