My Clarks laid eggs!

This is the first time they have laid eggs, appx a 2"x2" mass of orange bubbles, right next to one of their BTA's. The female is a regular yellow clarkii, who I've had since last May. It was in December I introduced a black clarkii (what I was told was Solomon Islands clarkii) and he was the little guy. Apparently they're not just friends anymore....haha.

Anyway, I've done reading on raising the eggs/ fry, and its not something I'm prepared to do this time around, I'm just curious what these babies would look like? If dad is blk/white w/ ornage fins, dace, and tail, and the mom is average clarkii....
Is it possible any of the fry would turn out a mix of yellow and black, or would they end up looking like either or? I'm hoping for a tye dye fish...haha, just kidding!

Thoughts, experiences? Thx!

The male is the one who has been staying with the eggs all day. My female is around, too, but the male is constantly putting his mouth on the eggs and staring at them. Is that brooding? I've read the female lays eggs, then they are fertilized, correct? How do I know they've been fertilized? By the male's behavior?
