My clown is hosting in a giant feather duster

Yeah, they find what they like. I had an LTA that they totally ignored. I got a Duncan.... guess what the are always nosing in to now? The Duncan doesn't seem to mind.. but it worries me none the less.

We have a pink skunk in the 700g at work that uses a large feather duster as well. The duster is about 6", and actually accepted to host the clown. The thing rarely closes. Ill nap a picture on Tuesday.

check out how close the nem is to her and she doesnt care a bit. she loves her duster

When that duster gets startled and contracts and something is chasing the clownfish, itll understand why to not host a feater duster.

a. they dont have stinging cells
b. they dont hang around long enough in emergency situations.

when the duster closes , she waits by it and as soon as it starts to opem she jumps in. that leads to her spinning around as the duster spirals open. its really funny to watch.

there are no emergencys in my fishes life the most predatory thing she has met is a cleaner shrimp.

lol, That's pretty cool! Well, if you really want your nem to be hosted... you can send it to me, I have a pair of clowns that would love it! = P

I came home to find my clown INSIDE of the mouth of my Duncan. Unfortunately, the clown was dead. :( I couldn't tell if he was alive or dead until I picked up the duncan and he spit the clown out. The Duncan is huge now compared to in this picture.

that sucks Im sorry to hear about your clown.

I always worried about my little clowns getting eaten by Duncan, i think its time to find Duncan a new home..

anybody wanna buy a duncan"?

I didn't see that clown try to host in the Duncan or any other coral. I only had him in my tank for a few days so he may have been on his way out, and the Duncan just ceased the opportunity for a big snack when the dead or dying clown floated by. I've never seen my other clowns go near that duncan either. I still have the Duncan and don't plan on getting rid of it.
Bye
Pam
