My clownfish is hanging at the bottom of the tank

We got two clownfish about a month ago. They were doing well up until a week ago.

The one (a Picasso clown) is sitting at the bottom of the tank a lot and he is paler in color now.

He will swim off if we feed them or if a crab gets too close to him, but otherwise he picks a different corner to "chill" in.

Everything else in the tank looks healthy, including the other clownfish.

We were reading and thought it sounded like Brooklynella. Do you all agree? If so how do we treat him?

Well I don't have any suggestions as it stands now, but I do have some questions. Have you tested the water? Is the tank fairly empty? Would there be rock formations for the guy to claim? Clowns are certainly odd fish. I've had more scares than I can recall with mine. For whatever reason they decide to stay at the bottom from time to time. What's the breathing like? How's the condition of his fins?

Just an update for you all....We went to the Aquarium store and they said he most likely had "clown-fish disease" also known as Brooklynella. If I'm understanding correctly it's a bacteria.

To treat we got a gallon bag of fresh-water mixed with Formaldehyde. They said to remove him from the tank and put him in this mixture for 7 minutes then back in the tank. If he's still the same in 3 days we need to retreat. It's suppose to kill the bacteria on the fish. We did the first dose about 2 hours ago. Hopefully we will start to see improvement soon.

To answer Airborne's questions...

1. Yes we had the water tested and it was good.

2. its a 15 gallon biocube. It has the two small clownfish, a serpent star, two crabs (porcelain and pom-pom), and some cleaner crabs and snails.

3. Yes there is rock, soft corals, mushrooms and an anemone.

4. His tail fin look a little raggity. The rest look fine except for being paler in color along with the rest of his body.

Brook is a parasite, acts very quickly. Check the stickies in the fish disease section and post a pic in there. More people can help.

IME, brook can kill in a matter of hours. If you have it for this long I kinda doubt it's brook, but without a picture it's hard to tell. It's also possible that it is stress from aggression. Are the 2 clowns paired up?
