I just picked up a RBTA two days ago and my Black Clowns haven't even looked at it yet. I have a third (soon to be sold) naked clown that doesnt host either.

My question, it can take a week or two for the clowns to find it if ever?

You can see the RBTA in the back. he likes it there for some reason...

Good luck. I've been putting food in my rbta with a turkey baster since Oct when I first got my clowns. They only go in and pick the food out. But the rbta has split twice already. :)

Wow - I'm surprised by that - they actually go in - pick out the food then leave it alone? Your clowns are crazy!

It took my black ocellaris about a month to find my RBTA in one of my old systems. It helped (IMO) to put up a picture against the glass of a similar clown and anemone pair. haha. Or... it could have just been a coincidence. Give it more time but they may or may not decide to take up residence.

Not to hijack but retarded is more like it.
Black perc- I'm going to print your pic at work tomorrow and try that. I've read about doing it that way but was hoping they would realize that when the food always went there, it might be a nice place to stay.

It took my clowns 3 months to actually go into my RBTA and that was after ignoring my GBTA for 4 months before that. Now they lay in those things constantly. I tried all the tricks, and they went when they were ready to go.

I just set up a Rbta tank. Hopefully my true perc pair will want to host it. They are currently hosting a frogspawn in my main tank.

It took my clowns over 8 months to start hosting in my green BTA. I think the only reason why they started to was because I had to move the tank. I tried everything to get them to host, and nothing worked. I tried pictures, scaring them in it, feeding in the anemone, etc. I think the only reason why they actually went into it was because they were stressed and scared.

My clowns went into the RBTA as soon as I put the RBTA in the water. I didnt even have a chance to place the RBTA w/Rock down when both of my clowns were inside the RBTA and the female was atacking me because i was near their area :)

I guess I was lucky :)
