my clowns gsm have been together 6 years and finally spawned

In Memoriam
Well the title says it all. My yellow striped maroon clowns have been together for 6 to 7 years. Today for the first time spawned. I see the male fanning a lot of eggs. The eggs look like little silver refectors in them. I am not prepared to raise them at the moment:( and think they may be close.

You are likely better off letting the first few batches go, monitoring the breeding schedule, starting up a batch of rotifers, setting up the initial tank and grow out arrangement.

Of course that sounds like work, maybe just sit back and let them do their thing :)

That is exactly the plan. Last night hundreds + hatched and were swimming around an hour and a half after the lights went out. Now the wife wants to raise clowns. Go figure. I guess this weekend I will do some reading start a photo culture and rotifers.
