My Clowns Hate Me

I recently added a pair of Black and White Misbarred Clowns to my 24 gal nano. They are about 2-2.5 inches long. They seem to get along fine with the sixline, Watchman Goby and Cleaner Shrimp but they hate me :(. They both aggressively chase my hand around the tank waving me off and biting me. Nothing I do wards them off for long.

They are beautiful but I don't know how to work around them in such a small space without going crazy. Does anyone have any ideas on how to work with them?

Maybe keep their tank cleaner...just a wild idea why they might hate you! A clean tank goes a long way with clowns! Or better yet you could have just listen to Russ when he told you clowns were evil and would bite you. Hope this helps if not i will make room for them in my "Clean Clown Friendly 20L"!

I don't know how they expect me to clean their tank when they are attacking me! I am doing what I can :headwally: .

You missed your chance to "rescue them" lol. The one idea I came across so far is to partition them off into one area of the tank with egg crate or something. Now I am thinking that maybe I can even trap them under a bottle with the bottom cut out just to isolate them.

This is an improvement over my fish fry idea last night :angryfire:

Hope they get used to you hand. I had a Tomato that was vicious with her attacks on my hand. Finally decided to get rid of her after she nearly caused me to knock over my halide fixture when she surprised me with an attack that drew blood.
