My custom 233

While fine tuning the overflow lines I found I get the quietest drain by just using a straight pipe for the full siphon.

Beautiful looking tank. I went stock on my most recent build, but think if there's a next time I'd go custom. Really like the extra front to back depth. Bit surprised a cross brace wasn't required with 1/2 inch glass. Nice to not have one though.

Have saltwater in it and moved the live rock out of the stock tanks I was storing it in and a couple leather corals yesterday.
Have to arrange the rock today ( I just threw it in a couple piles) and move the fish in.

It's going to look pretty bare for a while.
Lost all my lps and my biggest green/yellow leathers while in a temporary stock.

Have to get the lights programed. Added a new Radion while the tank was down.

Thanks.
The tank builder said that the euro brace was plenty.

Can you explain your closed loop? Where is water flowing through all those pipes?

Awesome tank btw

Ok, the suction line is 1-1/2" that goes to a Reeflo Dart/Snapper Hybrid pump, then goes out to a 1-1/2" manifold that travels the length of the stand.
There are four 1" risers coming off the manifold going to the holes in the back of the tank.
There is a 5th hole for the sump return pump which is a eheim 1262.

Cool. Thanks. So do you not have any power heads, vortechs, etc?

Right now there are no powerheads of any kind in the tank.
However, I may buy a single Vortech MP 40 or even a MP60 and put it on the far end of the tank and use it on a short pulse mode.
