My Derasa got zapped!

My Derasa got zapped buy a green slimmer that fell on it! About a 1/4" on the left side of the mantel has pull into the shell and does not extend anymore. The rest of the mantel looks great. It has been this way for a month or so. Will/can the clam heal its self and return to normal.

i can't really see the damage but the mantle can repair itself depending on how badly it was hurt. does he still look good other than that area??

He looks great even the part pulled back into the shells looks good. So when you say heal himself that means the mental will some day come back up over the shell and look the same over the whole clam.
