Thank you. I have had to calm my OCD down with this clam. Because it is so different in the way that it acts than the maxima. But it appears to be doing well and the mantle looks healthy and all. My three year old loves it but wishes it would be prettier, lol.

Did you get your Derasa @ Scott's? Just curious, when I was in there back in June I bought one from him. Someone else bought another one while I was in there. When I left there was one left.

This is what mine looked like when I brought it home.

It has added on around 3/4" of new shell since we brought it home back in June. It just sucks the calcium out of the system, glad we have the GEO reactor. Don't know why my camera is showing the peach color to be white? Maybe my white balance is off a little. FWIW, we have it under 250 watt MH's, with T-5's supplementing.

Wow. It looks great. Mine isn't growing much at all. Which I suspect has something to do with my nitrate levels (they have been close to 15 for three weeks or so). I am bringing them down now so we will see. YOurs looks great.

The issue with you photograph is most likely the white balance (or color temp). The only edit I do on my photographs is to change the color temp to 14000k to match my light. That takes care of it. Great looking clam.
