About how high will the water level be in the main tube?
150 gallons of water (minus the injected air's volumn) weighs
over 1000 pounds. Yoikes!
The lower box is 3/4-inch acrylic, right?

LA-Lawman I think that's a hartford loop on there so a power outage wouldn't be a problem. I have the same issue. So with the loop there's no problem with it draining unexpectedly but it is still a problem to drain on purpose.

if you ever build a fish room you need to build it twice as big as you think it needs to be. then you will never run out of room for that next tank. bill's fish room is too small for him. he wants to build a bigger tank but cant because the room is too small. it looks big but in reality its not. a 17'x30' fish room get real small with a 10,000 reef tank in it. and that the small than bill wants. I'm personally wishing he builds the big one. that would be about 20,000 gallons. now if he builds that tank then I want to help him build the skimmer for it. but its the crane he would need installed in the fish room to lift the cup off the skimmer that would be a big problem. getting the permits for that would be tough. how do you explain to the local permit office that you need a 5 ton commercial overhead crane in your house for your hobby.

You don't! In my short life here on Earth I have learned that asking permission is much harder and more expensive than paying a fine.
