I know, it's been ages since I've been here, and no one remembers me >_> I lived in Western CO for a while, had a tank that crashed and got out of reefkeeping, but I always did want to set one up again. Well, I did earlier this week, and got rock from TBS this morning.
First good point is that the service was outstanding! Whenever I had a question, it was answered very quickly, and the rock was packaged quite nicely.
Second plus is my rocks! I have never seen rock that looks this nice before! I've got a picture of my tank to upload, but you can definitely tell the difference between the couple of pieces I got from my LFS that are brownish versus the stuff I picked up this morning <3
The third plus? It's alive! JUST from putting it into my tank, I found a few crabs(one looks like a blue porcelain, two little white guys that I have no hope of catching, one with striped legs that I saw in a hole, and an itsy bitsy little decorator) which I'm leaving until I figure out that they're hurting the other stuff in my tank, a ton of feather worms, some tunicates, some bivalves(no clue what sort) a lot of barnacles, I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of whelks in there, but didn't want to try to dig it back out to catch them, a black urchin of some sort, a hidden cup coral(I've always wanted one of those!). . . And I actually picked up the rocks about 2 hours ago. I cannot wait to see it tonight when things are more active in there!

Like I mentioned, it's pretty easy to see what I got today, versus the couple of pounds I scavenged out of the LR tanks at the LFS in town. The big structure is all new, as is the piece with the red to the far right of the tank. The rest is half dead and wants to get some algae issues already. (please don't mind the frags, they're ones that weren't doing well in my 5 gallon desktop tank and I figured since they were already unhappy that they couldn't get much worse if I stuck them into the other tank.)
The negatives? Absolutely none! I couldn't be happier with the service and rock I received
If you are looking to order LR for your tank instead of buying it at a store, I would definitely give TBS a try!
